Welcome to my new Board. Do you long for a simpler time? Have you always felt out of time and place? Born to late? Talk about it here. The Jazz Age? the Old West? The London of Sherlock Holmes? This is the place to share you passion.
My name is John, I have always had a strong interest in the era from about 1870 to 1935. I collect acoustic talking machines and phonographs. I'm a "Trolley Jolly"-a public transit buff, a steam ship buff. and a collector of most things old! ;D
Please add a little bit bout your self here when you join. thank you
Regards, J.

Hello, John, I have just joined your board, and hope to have many discussions about anything old. I'm sure it will be a great time. I am John Gilmore, and I also collect antiques. One corner in my bedroom is a whole jumble of old stuff. I also collect records, BTW. I have a blog, and some youtube vids on the net now. The link to my blog is johngilmoresantiquesandcollectibles.blogspot.com, and my YouTube vids are at this address: www.youtube.com/ImFrom1900. John: I hope you will check out my reply to your post about period gentleman's clothes. Thanks, ImFrom1900

ImFrom1900: Welcome to The Anachronist Society. I went ahead and linked your blogspot site for you, to make it a bit easier for people to go visit it, and thought I'd point out that you can set either your YouTube channel or your blogspot page as a link in your profile like so: (The drop-down option boxes for Gender and Hide Gender will look different if you're not using a Mac.) To set this information, you'd just need to click (which is always available at the top of the page), then click Modify Profile link. [Of course, if you use the Modify Profile links I've put in this post, you can skip all of the navigation, that'll take you right to where you need to go.] Somewhere in the near future I'll be posting tips and tutorials on here, but in the meantime, if you have any questions or would like assistance, drop me an e-mail [the image to the left] (or a PM, but e-mails will result in faster responses). ;D Sadly, ProBoards doesn't handle mailto: links, so I can't link my e-mail so you could just click on it. But all my contact info is in my profile. — m0ri
